Job Description

Department: Cardiology
Reports to: Physician
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Status: Temporary Full Time
Closing Date: August 15 2025

Position Summary:
The Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRCII) will support the daily operations of clinical trials at Toronto General Hospital (TGH) under the guidance of the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Research Manager and Medical Lead. This role contributes to both individual study activities and broader CRU initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence across TGH. The CRCII will work closely with study teams investigators and patients playing a vital role in the successful execution of research projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about both engaging with patients and TGH study teams.

Duties:

  • Competently executing study protocols;
  • Maintaining study logs;
  • Reporting to the Principal Investigatory (PI) collaborators and coordinating centres;
  • Screening and enrollment of patients through an informed consent process;
  • Randomizing patients obtaining baseline history scheduling tests as per study protocol supervising completion of questionnaires or administering questionnaires recording of adverse events coordinating follow up including clinic visits imaging studies and laboratory analysis;
  • Other responsibilities may include planning implementing and coordinating aspects of data entry (e.g. in databases or Case Report Forms) and study-related administrative tasks such as creation and maintenance of study files meeting facilitation and other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator etc

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree or recognized equivalent in a health or science-related discipline
  • Holds recognized certification in clinical research is an asset (e.g. ACRP or SOCRA)
  • 3 to 5 years clinical and/or professional experience and
  • At least 3 years clinical research experience
  • Some experience in research contract budget management
