Intertek is currently seeking exceptional candidates with either a Diesel Mechanic or Chemistry background for future job opportunities at our Transportation Technologies Engine Lab in San Antonio. What were looking for:

The Diesel Mechanic will support the Transportation Technologies business byunderdirect or general supervision using automotive hand tools and power tools installs inspects tests repairs rebuilds and maintains all types of engines and transmissions using work procedures and technical with troubleshooting engines and instrumentation mal-functions makes repairs or corrections as looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

The Chemical Technician will support the Transportation Technologiesbusiness byunder immediate supervision and in a training capacity efficiently performing various chemical and physical analyses primarily on petroleum looking for someone withability toutilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.

What youll do:

Diesel Mechanic:

• Rebuilds installs inspects repairs and maintains test engines in prepared test stands
• Performs test part cleaning and preparation prior to engine assembly.
• Performs engine coolant and oil system flushes/charges as required by procedure.
• Removes and disassembles engines at end of test or at intermediate inspection points.

Chemical Technician:

• Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.
• Assist with equipment calibration maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Cleans glassware and test equipment.
• Assists with preparing reagents as needed.
• Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to LIMS system.
