The following position is an anticipated opening at Elgin Local Schools for the 2025-2026 School Year:Position: Middle School Guidance Counselor/Student Support SpecialistMinimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in counseling or related field Masters Degree PreferredAppropriate State of Ohio Certifications/LicenseTwo years teaching or other related experienceBCI/FBI Clearance Essential Functions:Ensure safety of studentsMaintain accurate and complete records as requiredProvide guidance to students to promote their educational developmentAttend/coordinate parent/teacher conferences; Participate in student support team meetingsCollaborate with colleaguesProvide individual student counseling on topics including but not limited to: social-emotional skills conflict resolution study skills course selectionsSalary: To Be Determined based on experience and the Board-adopted salary schedule Contract Days: 183-day contract with an additional 10 extended days Anticipated Start Date: August 14 2025Date Posted: July 18 2025Deadline for Applications: July 31 2025If you are interested please submit letter of interest and resume electronically to:Mr. Shawn Murphy Middle School Principal
