About The Department of Psychiatry

The OHSU Department of Psychiatry is part of the OHSU Brain Institute and focuses on providing excellent clinical treatment to our patients leading innovative research and offering hands-on training for the next generation of psychiatrists. Required Qualifications
- Masters or PHD required in a related field and 5 years experience OR Bachelors degree in a related field and 7 years of experience.
- Five to seven years of demonstrated successful progressive management experience.
- Demonstrated ability in setting and achieving organizational goals
- Strong political skills and ability to interface effectively with internal and external groups
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in Education Administration.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage operational resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in an academic institution preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Graduate Medical Education Board Specialty Requirements and accreditation requirements for GME programs
- Knowledge and experience in LCME accreditation and Undergraduate Medical Education.
- Knowledge of affiliation agreement development and related processes.
