Overview:


Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7 AM to 5:00 PM


Job Description Summary:


Performs educates and ensures quality MRI examinations on pediatric and select adult patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Operates and maintains MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images and ensure patient safety.
  • Identifies implements and manages high quality training and development needs for technologists.
  • Participates in the analysis design development and facilitation of training and mentoring efforts maintaining necessary records of knowledge and progress.
  • Coordinates with Radiologists and Lead MRI with QI and QC/QA MRI concerns.
  • Prepares patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required. Monitors educates and supports patients during MRI scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains accurate and complete patient records and ensures that all images are properly labeled and stored.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of MRI scans.

Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology required.

Licensure Requirement:

Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists required.

Certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • ARRT certification (MRI) required.

Skills:

Excellent communication teaching and organizational skills.

Experience:

  • 3 years of clinical experience in MRI procedures preferably in a pediatric setting required.
  • 5 years of experience in Radiological Sciences preferred.
