Essential Functions:
- Operates and maintains MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images and ensure patient safety.
- Identifies implements and manages high quality training and development needs for technologists.
- Participates in the analysis design development and facilitation of training and mentoring efforts maintaining necessary records of knowledge and progress.
- Coordinates with Radiologists and Lead MRI with QI and QC/QA MRI concerns.
- Prepares patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required. Monitors educates and supports patients during MRI scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records and ensures that all images are properly labeled and stored.
- Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of MRI scans.
Education Requirement:
Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology required.
Licensure Requirement:
Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists required.
Certifications:
- Current CPR Certification required.
- ARRT certification (MRI) required.
Skills:
Excellent communication teaching and organizational skills.
Experience:
- 3 years of clinical experience in MRI procedures preferably in a pediatric setting required.
- 5 years of experience in Radiological Sciences preferred.
