Job Description
Role: Outdoor Instructor
Contract: Permanent
Salary: 25000 - 34000 Depending on experience
Location: Penrith
Closing Date: Wednesday 28 May 2025

What Youll Do
- Design and deliver tailored outdoor activities for small groups combining fun challenge and skill-building.
- Act as a role model ensuring safety and safeguarding at every step.
- Collaborate with care teams to create integrated development plans for children.
- Manage your caseload and time effectively balancing a busy schedule.
- Play a key role in maintaining equipment managing risks and adhering to AALA standards.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking resilient enthusiastic and skilled outdoor leaders with:
Qualifications:
Two-day Outdoor First Aid Certificate.
Full driving licence and ability to travel across the North of England.
At leastthreeof the following:
- Summer Mountain Leader.
- Rock Climbing Instructor (SPA).
- British Cycling Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader or equivalent.
- PaddleUK Paddlesport Leader Award.
- White-water safety and rescue qualification.
Experience:
Planning and delivering outdoor activities for children.
Supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs is desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication IT proficiency and organisational abilities.
A passion for helping children develop meaningful transferable life skills.
