Job Description Summary
Research Specialist will conduct research focusing on the following tasks: Improving and revising machine learning algorithms for the design of nanophotonic structures Contribute to publishing results in scientific journals and national and international conferences Working alongside principal investigator to mentor undergraduate student researchers.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent research related to supervisors principal research. Duties include but are not limited to: Improving and revising machine learning algorithms for photonic design. Contribute to publishing results in scientific journals and conferences. report writing. Train and advise undergraduate research students.
Required Qualifications
A masters degree in related fields (computer science electrical engineering or computer engineering) Previous experience in Python programming Experience implementing machine learning algorithms in python Writing skills to summarize research findings and integrate into scientific manuscripts or journals Communication and interpersonal skills to interact and work collaboratively with other researchers Ability to collaborate with Principal Investigator and other researchers. Strong programming and computational skills
