Duration:12 months (Contract W2)
Location: Salem OR (Remote) Part-Time 8AM 12PM PST
Key Sills: Mainframe Development & Maintenance Troubleshooting & Debugging Financial Systems Knowledge Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer.

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting troubleshooting and improving legacy mainframe applications. Key Responsibilities
- Perform software system development related to system enhancements upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide software and system support for issue resolution including break/fix and bug repair tasks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for code maintenance and troubleshooting processes.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance and testing of all developed and modified code.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal staff regarding system functionality and any changes implemented.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the operations and maintenance of financial systems on mainframe platforms.
- At least 6 years of overall experience in computer systems development or support or a bachelors degree in a related field with equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot system-level problems in mainframe environments.
- Strong understanding of secure system implementation and support best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in public sector or government environments.
- Familiarity with legacy financial applications and modernization efforts.
- Strong documentation communication and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
