We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support their Structural Heart Program within the Cardiology department. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for local MAs with a strong background in outpatient care. Candidates must be comfortable performing manual blood pressure readings assisting with cardiac and general procedures and supporting a high-functioning clinical team. Must hold a current WA MA-C license and be local to the area.
Responsibilities:Room patients and obtain vital signs including manual blood pressure temperature pulse and respirations
Record and update patient medical histories medications and allergies in the EHR
Perform hearing and vision screenings glucose testing and throat/urine specimen collection
Assist with procedures such as nebulizer treatments immunizations and TB test administration
Support follow-up care through calls pharmacy communication and appointment coordination
Label and handle specimens appropriately
Triage phone calls and respond to messages under provider direction
Maintain clean exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of supplies
Float to other outpatient clinics within skill scope if needed
Experience:
Minimum 6 months of experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting
Cardiology experience preferred but not required
Must be comfortable performing manual blood pressure readings
Certifications Required:
WA State MA-C License Required at submission (pending not accepted)
BLS (AHA) Required
Charting System: Epic Preferred
First-Time Travelers: Accepted (locals only)
Weekend Requirement: None
On-Call Requirement: None
Floating: May float to other outpatient units within scope
RTO Restrictions: Must be disclosed at submission; subject to manager approval
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week pay period
Local-Only Role: Candidates must reside within 50 miles and have reliable transportation
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience:
6 months of clinical experience in an outpatient adult clinic required
Experience in cardiology preferred
License & Certifications:
WA MA-C license (Active) Required
BLS (American Heart Association) Required
