Network Engineer- OT
Location: Des Moines IA
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Pay $50 to 54/hr
Position Overview:
- Strong experience with next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto preferred but experience with any next-gen firewall is acceptable).
- Solid knowledge of configuring and managing Cisco switches and routing protocols (especially OSPF and BGP).
- Experience with network management tools (e.g. ISE Panorama); automation experience is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including subnetting. Operational
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain network infrastructure across three affiliates including lifecycle projects new site installs switch/firewall replacements and incident response.
- Participate in on-call rotation responding to NOC calls and potentially being on-site at the data center as needed.
- Handle compliance duties including NERC CIP requirements and associated training.
Experience & Soft Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with a preference for candidates showing commitment (not frequent job changes).
- Ability to work independently be self-motivated and learn quickly.
- OT (Operational Technology) experience is a significant plus.
Ability to handle projects independently and work well within a team
