Job Description
This temporary-to-hire position is for a Medical Assistant in an outpatient infectious disease clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to patients and the healthcare team. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient setting and proficiency in basic clinical skills. Local candidates only within a 50-mile radius are considered.
- Obtaining vital signs (height/weight pulse oximetry blood pressure respirations temperature pulse)
- Assisting with clinical procedures as directed by a supervising provider
- Performing administrative tasks as needed
- Maintaining patient charts and records (EPIC experience preferred)
- Possibly floating between clinics within the same skillset (to be confirmed with hiring manager)
- Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Reliable transportation (private vehicle required)
- Experience in an adult outpatient setting preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Local candidates only (within 50-mile radius)
- No weekend work required
- Shift: 5x8 hour days Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Facility may call off employee up to one shift per pay period
- No on-call requirements
- All RTO (Restrictions to Operations) must be presented at time of submission
- Confirmation with hiring manager regarding RTO restrictions and potential for floating between clinics is required.
- No on-call or weekend shifts.
- No block scheduling accommodations.
