Job Description

Maintenance Technician- B Shift
Location: Chicago IL
Type: 6-month contract

Responsibilities:
  • Support production in reducing and eliminating equipment / tooling downtime and scrap utilizing good analytical methodologies. (Preventive / Predictive Maintenance and Spare Part Inventory).
  • Perform equipment / tooling and facilities preventive maintenance (PM) per schedule provided. Complete all documentation required for PM s.
  • Perform repairs as required and document all activities to maintain an objective of less than 30 minutes mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Assist in fabricating and implementing projects as required.
  • Maintain and monitor a healthy and safe work environment utilizing MSDS s for the facility and all company local state and federal guidelines.
  • Document all activities as required.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
  • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in Industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Technical understanding of machine and components.


Maintenance Technician 1st Shift Schedule: 4 On, 3 Off. 12 hour Shifts. Direct-Hire Norwalk, OH The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronics and manufacturing equipment, including PLC controllers, HVAC, conveyors, among others. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for installing, inspecting, and improving the efficiency of the equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and operational efficiency requirements. Objectively interpret, apply and/or enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations and safety rules in support of achieving departmental goals for safety, quality and productivity. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronics, manufacturing equipment, and plant facilities. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system. Effective cooperation with other members of the USA team, including subordinates, peers or managers.
