Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Java Developer with hands-on experience in designing developing and implementing scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java Spring Boot Microservices architecture API development Angular and Kafka. Candidate will play a key role in our technology team driving the development of innovative applications and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh PA/Dallas TX is$105k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead Design development and deployment of Java-based enterprise applications.
- Lead and develop microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and other backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Implement efficient reusable and reliable Java code adhering to best practices.
- Develop and enhance front-end components using Angular.
- Integrate and manage messaging systems using Kafka for real-time data processing.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize application performance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Proven experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Angular and front-end development.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL PostgreSQL or similar.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred but not required:
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure AWS) and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries beyond Angular (e.g. React ).
