Job Description
Federal Programs Bookkeeper
Qualifications: Competency in computer skills.
Reports to: Director of Federal and State Programs.
Job Goal: To assure the smooth efficient operation of the Office of Federal Programs budgets.
Mission and Goals
- Works with the Superintendent Principals and Director of Federal Programs to articulate and promote the school systems vision of learning and teaching
- Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of the systems goals and objectives
- Develops goals and objectives programs and operations that are consistent with school system vision mission and goals
- Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the systems strategic plan
- Organizes daily monthly and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools
Management of Educational Resources
- Administers the finances of the district with sound fiscal management and educational practices
- Assists with the development of the budget and makes allocations to schools in an equitable manner
- Achieves maximum results for available resources and money spent
General
- Maintains a regular filing system
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed
- Maintains bookkeeping for federal programs
- Maintains inventory of federal equipment
- Requests monthly reimbursements on federal programs
- Prepares bills for payment
- Assists with the Consolidated Grant and other grant applications as requested
- Monitors expenditures to ensure that they have been specified in the program
- Performs any other tasks as required by the Superintendent of Education the Deputy Superintendent the designee of the Superintendent and the Director of Federal Programs
Terms of Employment: Ten eleven or twelve month year salary and work year will be established by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
