Job Description

1. Support customer service standards in alignment with the agencys service support and solutions

2. At least 35 years of experience in public sector financial management budgeting or grants/contracts oversight.

3. Experience with financial systems such as OAKS or other ERP platforms.

4. Demonstrated understanding of state procurement budgeting and compliance processes.

5. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring staff.

6. Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving abilities.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and data analysis tools.

8. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.

9. Experience with Salesforce or similar workflow/reporting tools is a plus.

10. Commitment to customer service and continuous process improvement.

Interested in using your skills to help drive growth and expansion for Ohio businesses Come join the Strategic Investment Division team as its Financial Program Manager supporting the division operations and administration of program budgets.

What Youll Do:

The Financial Program Manager will provide fiscal leadership and oversight for the Strategic Investment Division (SID) ensuring sound financial management and compliance across all operational and programmatic areas. This role involves managing budgets contracts purchasing and financial reporting processes while serving as a liaison between SID and other department offices including Budget/Finance Legal and Audit. The Financial Program Manager plays a key role in strategic planning performance analysis staff supervision and driving continuous improvement aligned with the agencys mission and goals.

Some of the Job Duties:

  • Manage the divisions finances annual budgets contracts and purchasing functions ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare monitor and reconcile SID budgets financial reports disbursements and non-GRF fund balances.
  • Serve as the final Ohio Administrative Knowledge Services (OAKS) approver for operating expenses and grant requisitions.
  • Lead the preparation of Controlling Board operating requests and waivers of competitive selection.
  • Oversee financial documentation processing including requisitions invoices and travel-related expenses.
  • Conduct ongoing budget payroll and grant spending analyses; manage fund allotments and monthly reporting.
  • Develop and maintain the divisions procedures manual and support audit processes and annual gran/loan reporting.
  • Act as SIDs liaison to internal departments on fiscal grant contract and system workflow issues.
  • Supervise mentor and evaluate team members; support staff development and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning performance metrics workflow tools (e.g. Salesforce) and agency-aligned change initiatives.
  • Represent the division in meetings conferences and cross-functional working groups.
  • Support customer service standards in alignment with the agencys service support and solutions.
