Security Assistant

Program Summary:

KBRs Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of Defense specializing in modeling and simulation cyber transformation air vehicle mission integration and lifecycle support. Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a Security Assistant) to join our team. This position supports the NAVAIR PMA-231 Advanced Hawkeye Command and Control platform office. The successful candidate will team with other professionals in providing support services through the Security Office. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts inventories of controlled and accountable material. The candidate will maintain document control/database records to include creation receipt dispatch tracking destruction of documents and media to include through electronic and physical transmissions in accordance with policy and facility guidelines.

  • Manages media for correct markings and application of cover sheets as necessary.

  • Executes corporate clearance processing for security personnel; processing DISS queries and requests for visitors including verifying authorization for access.

  • Assess develop and implement security policies and procedures that help ensure classified information is protected in all stages at all times.

  • Manages the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process as well as the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).

  • Maintains all purchase card documentation to meet contract requirements.

  • Responsible for directly supporting the GSSO team in achieving successful outcomes as directed.

  • Manage an Automated Document Control Database (ADCS) and ensuring accountability and tracking is always maintained.

  • Maintain program facility accreditation files to include physical accreditations and personnel files. Responsible for maintaining visitor control in the facility to include providing visitor badges; escorting uncleared visitors; and verifying visitor clearance information using customer approved databases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 8 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 and ICD 705 directives.

  • Must be able to conduct security briefings to include indoctrinations debriefings and administer Security Education Training Awareness (SETA) that supports SAPs.

  • Experience creating PARs in the JADE system. Must have experience with investigating losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions is required.

  • Must have an active DOD Top-Secret security clearance is required; Contract requires U.S. Citizenship. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Required clearance must have been completed or updated within the last 5 years is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience tracking action items develop metrics develop and track risk mitigation plans and develop and track plans of actions and milestones is required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

  • 40 hours/week

Compensation:

  • $60940 - $91410

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location knowledge skills abilities and/or experience contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity..
