Are you a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the construction materials industry Do you possess outstanding business acumen and exceptional relationship-building abilities BURNCO is seeking a General Manager to lead our Ready-Mix division in Colorado. Join us in building thriving communities and driving excellence across our operations.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer youll manage and direct regional Ready-Mix operations lead cultural change and engage with diverse stakeholders to advance our business and the industry.
What you will be doing
- Execute strategies aligned with BURNCOs strategic plan in collaboration with the COO and Executive Team
- Provide leadership in policymaking cultural transformation and organizational change
- Identify and pursue opportunities for vertical integration and business growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders industry partners and senior customers
- Develop lead and collaborate with the HSE team to ensure world-class safety and regulatory compliance
- Proactively address safety and environmental risks to protect employee well-being and company legacy
- Direct risk reduction initiatives for safety quality insurance and asset sustainability
- Drive long-term profitability and value creation for the Ready-Mix business
- Lead and motivate teams to achieve and exceed operational goals
- Develop and execute business plans and budgets monitoring performance against targets
- Ensure optimal maintenance and timely replacement of company assets through capital planning
- Benchmark operations and implement best practices to ensure operational excellence
- Champion the adoption of technology and automation to support continuous improvement
What we would like from you
- 10 years of experience in the construction materials industry including 5 years in a leadership role
- A bachelors degree in business engineering or related field
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
- Strong financial skills in budgeting forecasting and analysis
- Inspiring leadership and team management abilities
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated strength in strategic problem-solving and decision-making
- Deep commitment to safety and environmental best practices
Location and other key details:
- This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Colorado Corporate Office
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with occasional additional hours as business needs arise
- 50% travel within the region and to other BURNCO locations across North America will be required
Salary Range: $189000 - $200000
