Job Description
Job Title: Piping Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review piping layouts isometric drawings and material specifications as per project requirements.
Prepare and check piping GA drawings support drawings and equipment layouts.
Coordinate with process mechanical structural and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Perform pipe stress analysis and ensure compliance with ASME API and other relevant standards.
Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and material take-offs for procurement.
Participate in design reviews HAZOP studies and project meetings.
Ensure adherence to quality safety and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Support site teams with design clarifications modifications and as-built documentation.
Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical solutions during project execution.
Maintain and update design documentation project reports and drawing archives.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in piping design for oil & gas petrochemical power plant or industrial projects.
Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME ANSI API ISO).
Skills Required:
Proficiency in 2D/3D design software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D PDMS or SmartPlant.
Knowledge of piping stress analysis tools (e.g. CAESAR II).
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs equipment drawings and engineering specifications.
Strong analytical problem-solving and technical drawing skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines.
