Purpose of the job:
- Ensure and/or perform the execution of Mainline and Urban (M&U) Signaling Installation - trackside and/or onboard - according to site planning Installation Supervisor orientations and instructions with a special competency as team leader or technician expert
- Ensure the application of Environment Health & Safety policies local regulations and professional standards
Reports directly to:
Installation Manager
Main Responsibilities
In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards the Electrical Technician oversees day-to-day installation execution and installation workers activities including:
- Ensure compliance with design documentation and Supervisor Installation orientation / instruction
- Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and maintenance of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) ensuring collective protections are in place and alerting the Installation Supervisor and Project Site Manager whenever any deviation to rules or risk is identified
- Confirm installation execution readiness (man machines material method)
- Ensure installation activities are performed without deviations following design methods and quality standards
- Report and alert the hieratical superior if any risk deviations or issues are identified during the installation activities that may impact the safety the quality and/or the work performance
- Apply the D&IS Installation and Field Operation Process for Installation activities
Performance measurements
- Quality of installation activities (Number of Punch Points)
- Productivity as per reference Library
- Issue of Red and Yellow drawing reports
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Highly Qualified technician
Desirable
- Technical School Diploma
Experience
Mandatory:
- Relevant experience on railway site management
- Relevant experience on railway EHS management
- Experience on railway products installation methods
Desirable
- Knowledge on railway products
Competencies & Skills
- Quality and EHS focused rigorous team-player
- Resilience with an analytic way of thinking in order to troubleshoot
