Field Service Engineer Photocopier
Field-Based in and around Northamptonshire
Monday Friday 08:30 17:30

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our well-established clients this field-based role you will be responsible for maintaining servicing and performing emergency repairs on photocopiers and related equipment at customer sites in and around Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance diagnostics and emergency repairs on photocopiers and multifunction devices at client locations.
  • Identify faults repair or replace damaged components reassemble machines reinstall software and test systems for functionality.
  • Efficiently travel to customer sites ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining a clean road-legal company vehicle.
  • Accurately complete job reports paying close attention to response times job closure and parts booking.
  • Maintain and manage car stock to ensure availability of key components.
  • Use IT systems to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
  • Support the basic installation of new machines at client sites.
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Office Manager Service Manager or Managing Director.
  • Participate in training during quieter periods to maintain and develop technical skills.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with the Service Administrator.
  • Provide remote support via phone when necessary.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of print management software such as Papercut and SafeQ.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Previous proven experience working within the print / photocopier industry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of print management software and IT systems.
  • Valid driving license required.
