Job Description
We are looking for a data platform engineer to design build and maintain scalable data infrastructure and services in GCP. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in GCP. You must collaborate with data teams to build high-quality data products. If youre passionate about data infrastructure automation and building reliable systems wed love to meet you.
You will:
- Set up data streams to load data from various business systems using API Cloud SQL Scripts FTP/SFTP etc.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow Dataflow and Workflow.; Develop infrastructure code (IaC) for data services using Terraform.
- Automate build test deployment scaling and failover of data services.
- Implement data governance access control and compliance best practices working closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data availability performance and security compliance
- Monitor the health troubleshoot any issues or incidents optimize the data platform performance reliability cloud costs and query performances to enhance data warehouse responsivenessand executing necessary upgrades
- Develop and maintain documentation for the data products including data dictionaries and technical specifications.
- Continuously learning and improving skills and knowledge and staying up-to-date with the latest DataOps techniques and best practices.

We ask:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field and high level of English proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of GCP.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering/DevOps role.
- Knowledge of GIT CI/CD and DevOps practices in a data context.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as python and SQL.
- Experience with agile working processes.
- Hands-on experience with the DevOps tools like GCP cloud build or Azure DevOps.
