Your role:

Operating in the safety-focused environment of our Yates Wyee manufacturing plant this is a great opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Fitter and ensure our site performs at its peak each day. Reporting to the Site Production Manager you are responsible for completing all maintenance and installations ensuring quality expectations are met standards are confirmed to safe work procedures are followed and work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. This role sees you working within a small team with a great collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery ensuring tasks are completed in line with system requirements and documented accurately.
  • Identify and isolate defective or unsafe equipment consulting with stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support maintenance operations by conducting risk assessments disposing of waste materials appropriately and maintaining accurate records.
  • Uphold safety standards by complying with protocols participating in hazard assessments and maintaining 5S cleanliness and organisation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process issues analysing data and participating in problem-solving initiatives.
  • Make daily decisions on production priorities and improvement opportunities within a collaborative team environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitterwith strong time management attention to detail and a commitment to process adherence.
  • Effective communicatorwith active listening skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and levels.
  • Technically capable with basic Microsoft Office skills previous MEX experience (highly regarded) and an understanding of PLC systems.
  • Customer-focused consistently delivering quality outcomes and considering customer impact when implementing improvements.
  • Problem solverwho uses rigorous logic to identify root causes and actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reliable team player action-oriented and trustworthy with a strong safety mindset and a genuine commitment to company success.
