Job Details
This role is in support of Cencoras veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business as Micro Technologies. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora offering animal health services globally.
The Service Technician is responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the site selection ongoing preventative maintenance customer service user training of the Micro-Weigh System (MWS) and related technologies. The Micro-Weigh System offers producers the only automated Micro ingredient delivery system of its kind. The Service representative also provides sales support influence and education of product use with the customers for purposes of maximizing customer value and MWS revenue.
Territory: Area surrounding Scott City and Garden City KS with additional coverage as needed.
- Build trust and influence with customers as well as sustain and maintain the relationship with integrity and dedication to the customer.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance onsite and remote service and support of the Micro Weigh Systems and other technologies.
- Optimizing the customer benefit of our systems and solutions
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Installation of parts electrical work plumbing welding and fabrication
- Transport and deliver equipment to customers sites.
- Maintain modify and adjust with the highest level of accuracy the appropriate dosage for feed additives and rations/diets through the Micro Weigh System software based upon the nutritionists and or veterinarians specifications.
- Perform standard operational tests under protocol guidelines while following standardized checklists.
- Maintains and updates FDA files for customers and trains customers on same.
- Effectively train customer staff on equipment operation and inventory control procedures as well as FDA guidelines.
- Continual education of customer management team on new products and programs offered by Micro which supports and drives increased product sales
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Schedule Requirements:
- This role requires being on call every other weekend
- This role requires being on call during the week as well typically as early as 5:00am until 7:00pm
- Will be responsible to cover Emergency Service Calls and be part of a rotation team to cover holidays and weekend coverage.
- Overnight travel is required.
Driving Requirements:
- Drivers License and acceptable driving record is required.
- CDL is preferred or must be able to obtain CDL license.
This role does require driving a company vehicle thus:
1. No more than 3 moving violations and or accidents in the past 3 years
2. No more than 2 moving violations and or accidents in the past year
3. Drivers should have no major convictions within last 5 years:
a. Major convictions include:
- i. Driving while intoxicated or under the influence (DWI or DUI)
- ii. Leaving the scene of an accident
- iii. Careless or reckless driving violations
- iv. Homicide or assault through the use of motor vehicle
- v. Attempting to elude a police officer
- vi. Drivers who have a suspended or revoked license or those who have had 3 or more license suspensions in the past
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electrical wiring plumbing welding and fabrication is required.
- Requires computer skills including Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of computer-based software.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency are required.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams setting up computer programs and following instructions.
Experience:
- Experience and understanding of feed yard operations helpful.
- Experience with use of power tools volt meters.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs
