Job Description
Granby Public Schools invites interested candidates to apply for Tier 3 Teaching Assistant - Special Education atGranby Memorial High School.
The Tier 3 Teaching Assistant under the direction of a certified specialeducation staff member assistsin the implementationof specialized instruction and provides supports as specifiedin the IndividualizedEducation Programs. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with academic organizational social/emotional/behavioral communicationand transitionneeds as well as daily living in accordancewith IEPs.
- Providing specialised instruction and supports that may include unique skills and training in DiscreteTrialTeaching behavior plan implementation de-escalation techniques psychological and physicalmanagement health care/medical needs feeding ambulation etc.
- Ongoing and frequentdata collection and tabulation as specified in the IEP
- Supporting preparationof specialized learning materials as directed by appropriate special education staff
- Engaging in regular consultationwith special education team members to implement goals/objectives accommodation modificationsetc.
Daily hours are7:30 am - 2:30 pm.
Rate of pay is $24.11/hr.
