Are you a safety leader ready to make a real impact Support our Transurban QLD network as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor. This is a hands-on role where you will drive safety excellence lead investigations and embed a culture of Safety and Health above all else.
This is a deliverable based role with annual performance reviews and autonomy to deliver agreed outcomes flexibly across hours and sites (day and night).

What you will be doing
- Implement and manage Safety Management Plans across the project
- Risk management (compliance standards quality controls) and lead risk assessments and maintain risk registers
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies procedures and legislative requirements
- Conduct safety investigations and manage relationships with regulators
- Drive continuous improvement through monitoring and reporting of SHEQ performance
- Provide sustainability leadership and ensure adequate resources for safety objectives
- Support team training inductions and SHEQ awareness initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in road / tunnel network environments will see you succeed in this role or solid experience with construction or infrastructure projects.
- Cert IV in WHS Environment or Quality (or equivalent)
- ICAM incident investigation training
- Lead Auditor qualifications
- Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation ISO standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to mange safety audit programs and drive compliance
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- White card and current C class drivers licence
