Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Department: Maintenance
Pay Rate: $17.00 Hourly
Hours: 8:00am- 5:00pm (On- call rotation as well)
Summary
Were seeking a hands-on dependable Maintenance Mechanic (Non-Licensed) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with general maintenance skills in carpentry HVAC plumbing or electrical who wants to make a real impact in a senior living environmentwithout needing a state mechanical license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Complete assigned work orders in resident rooms healthcare areas and common spaces
- Perform basic repairs on HVAC plumbing and electrical systems (non-licensed tasks)
- Install cabinets countertops drywall and finish carpentry items
- Apply paint stains and wall coverings for touch-ups and upgrades
- Collaborate with departments to minimize disruptions during repairs
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year experience in building maintenance carpentry HVAC plumbing or related field
- Trade school vocational training or military experience is a plus
- Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift move push pull & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined or elevated areas
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable interacting with residents families and staff in a professional manner
