Job Description
Industry Leader in BIM coordination located in East Lansing Mi is looking for a BIM coordinator to join our team. Our goal is to empower construction companies with seamless collaboration and exceptional outcomes by seamlessly integrating architectural structural and MEP (mechanical electrical plumbing) components into a unified digital twin model BIM coordination enhances construction processes from design to facility management.
Position Overview: As a BIM Coordinator you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality building information modeling (BIM) content that supports our projects and enhances our workflows. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Revit and a passion for detail-oriented work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the construction industry and a deep understanding of BIM principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Revit to develop detailed BIM content including families templates and models to support project requirements.
- Ensure all BIM content meets industry standards and best practices including proper parameterization and data management.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and provide BIM support throughout all project phases.
- Stay current with Revit updates and best practices continuously improving BIM workflows and processes.
- Assist with clash detection and coordination efforts using Navisworks if applicable to identify and resolve conflicts in project models.
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure BIM content is practical for field use and facilitates efficient installation.
- Proficiency in PDF viewing software with bonus points for experience in Bluebeam to review and markup construction documents.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and adapt asking questions and seeking clarification when needed while also being able to work independently.
- Possess strong spatial visualization skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate 3D objects and spaces effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience using Revit with the last usage within the past 3 months in a professional setting.
- Working knowledge of the construction industry preferably from an end-user perspective with a focus on field installation processes.
- Experience with Navisworks is a plus but not required; willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new software tools.
- Proficiency in PDF viewing software with bonus points for experience in Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets project requirements.
