NXTGEN are supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Officer to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations. As Finance Officer youll play a key role in supporting month-end payroll and ledgers while working closely with senior management. This Finance Officer position offers real variety autonomy and the chance to contribute to the businesss continued success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone whos detail-driven and passionate about finance to join a supportive team work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities from payroll to assisting with monthly management accounts.

The Finance Officer role:

  • Manage accounts payable processes ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
  • Maintain and reconcile records in Sage 50 (multi-currency: GBP EUR USD).
  • Process payroll for up to 20 staff including contracts leavers and pensions.
  • Oversee sales and purchase ledger invoices and credit notes.
  • Assist with monthly profit and loss reports and support external accountants with year-end accounts.
  • Review HMRC postponed VAT statements and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide general admin support and take on ad-hoc tasks where required.

What were looking for:

  • Previous experience in a finance role (financial services experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency with Sage 50 and strong Excel skills.
  • A methodical detail-focused approach to data entry and reconciliations.
  • Organisational skills to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
