Job Description
Radford University is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Director of Institutional Effectiveness to lead the Universitys efforts in continuous improvement strategic planning assessment and accreditation. Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Faculty and Curriculum this position will also oversee the development and submission of curriculum proposals to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) ensuring compliance with state regulations and alignment with institutional priorities.
The Director provides leadership in the collection analysis and dissemination of institutional data to support planning decision-making curriculum and policy development in support of the universitys mission and strategic initiatives. This role will advance a culture of evidence-based decision making and continuous quality improvement across academic and administrative units. This position plays a key role in ensuring transparency accountability and shared governance in institutional planning and assessment.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree required in Education Education Research Social Sciences Business Applied Statistics or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in institutional effectiveness accreditation assessment institutional research curriculum development or a closely related area in higher education.
Demonstrated knowledge of higher education accreditation processes (especially SACSCOC) and familiarity with SCHEV requirements and procedures.
Strong understanding of current and innovative practices in assessment methodologies and curriculum development.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across academic and administrative units and gain consensus among varied constituents.
Excellent analytical project management communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with data systems and reporting tools (e.g. Watermark SPSS SAS R Banner Qualtrics or similar platforms).
Ability to handle high pressure particularly when accreditation reports are due with responsibility for meeting deadlines managing a diverse range of tasks and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in a relevant field
Experience working in a public university or state system in Virginia.
Experience with SCHEV proposal submissions.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in higher education
Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in higher education policy planning and accountability.
