At Canfor were on a journey to elevate our Finance function and were looking for someone whos excited to be part of that transformation. As an Analyst Finance Transformation you are right at the heart of it all working alongside a passionate team focused on improving the way Finance works across our global business.
You know how to collaborate closely with the Finance leadership (including VPs Controllers Directors and Managers) IT and internal audit teams and external partners like vendors banks auditors and tech providers. Youre proactive organized and self-motivated and you communicate clearly and build strong relationships embracing change and encouraging others to do the same. You enjoy solving complex problems driving change and embracing new technology to make things better and smarter so we know youll fit right in.
What you will be doing:
Driving Change
- Youll help lead the charge in change management supporting teams as they adapt to new processes and digital tools.
- Youll bring a continuous improvement mindset helping to prioritize and execute initiatives across Finance.
Improving the Way We Work
- Analyze current Finance processes spot inefficiencies and propose ways to simplify and automate.
- Work with IT and transformation teams to roll out improvements using tools like PowerApps PowerAutomate and PowerBI.
Teaming Up for Impact
- Encourage a positive attitude toward change and help manage any resistance that pops up along the way.
- Partner across departments to spark innovation and build efficiencies.
- Support your colleagues in growing their digital skill sets through training and knowledge sharing.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience in a similar role leading or supporting digital transformation projects.
- A degree in Business Commerce or Accounting.
- Having a CPA (or equivalent) designation is a requirement of the role. Consideration will be given to candidates who are working towards their CPA.
- While not necessary Project Management and/or Prosci Certifications would be valuable
Your exceptional understanding of how to use technology to improve finance processes will be on full display and your advanced Excel skills and solid experience with Microsoft Office tools especially PowerApps and PowerAutomate will be well utilized in this role. Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and experience with platforms like Coupa or JD Edwards are all a bonus.
This role is based at our Corporate Head Office in Vancouver or Prince George BC. We work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Some travel may be required.

The salary range for this position is: $80000.00-$100000.00
