The Walter and Virginia Johnson School of Business at McMurry University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in Finance to begin Fall 2026. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to innovation and excellence in teaching and a passion to mentor students and engage in service activities. The candidate will also be expected to pursue research resulting in publications and contributing to advancing the recognition of the school. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester with the opportunity for teaching summer courses. The ability to teach a range of finance courses at the undergraduate level is important. All areas of finance will be considered with particular interest in fintech AI in finance/business or impact investment. Teaching experience is highly desirable. Professional work experience in finance or related fields outside of academia is welcome. The selected person will supervise our Student Managed Investment Fund ( SMIF ) of 2.3 million of the university endowments. Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD or DBA in Finance Economics (fields in financial economics or international economics) or a related field in hand (by July 2026). Persons with an MBA and 18 graduate credits in Finance and with work experience will be considered.
