About the Role:

Job Summary

The Excess Casualty Division of Everest Insurance is looking for an Excess Casualty Underwriter to join our Central Region office.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Marketing and underwriting Excess Casualty business

Exposure identification for a wide variety of business types

Contract analysis

Adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines

Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality service

Collaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the client

Qualifications Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree or above and/or insurance certifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting casualty business

Knowledge Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business

Strong relationship management skills

Excellent analytical communication and computer skills

Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced team-oriented working environment

Customer-oriented approach

For IL Only:The base salary range for this position is $100000 - $138000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage an employee wellness program life and disability insurance 401k match retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
