Full-Time Lead Teacher - Nationally Accredited Early Childhood Preschool

The Child Development Center is looking for an energetic creative and loving Lead Teacher to join our teaching team. We are NAEYC accredited and a 4-star Texas Rising Star preschool in Southwest Austin. As an established non-profit preschool our primary focus is on children families and staff.
This is a full-year full-time exempt position that will start as soon as possible. Must be able to work Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm.
As part of our commitment to our teachers we provide:
- Competitive salary starting at $55000 - $60000 commensurate with experience and education (highest pay in the industry and the area)

Duties Include:
- Collaborating with other Teachers and Education Directors to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star
- Managing and supporting the Assistant Teachers in the classroom through collaboration modeling and frequent communication
- Complete developmentally appropriate assessments of each child
- Communication with families both verbal and written
- Building positive relationships with parents and coworkers
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all staff children and families
- Demonstrating respect for diverse families and cultures
- Being physically active in order to monitor and participate in childrens games and movement activities
- Individualizing for each child
- Ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 1 year teaching experience
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development Elementary Education or EC Special Education
- Required: CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Candidates must meet all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
- Must be able to lift/carry 25 pounds
- General computer proficiency
- Must be able to bend down
- Must be able to lift/carry 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time
