Electrical Estimator
Location: Billingham UK

Salary: 55000 - 60000

Hours: 40 hours per week

Site Based

Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team supporting projects across sectors such as Process Power Generation Pharmaceuticals and Oil & Gas. This role involves the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for electrical and instrumentation work as well as supporting the project team from bid to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client specifications and tender documentation in detail.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all tender documents.
  • Prepare and submit timely detailed electrical and instrumentation bids.
  • Attend site visits client meetings and project briefings.
  • Liaise with clients suppliers and internal teams during the tender process.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Track contract specifications and changes managing associated costs and concessions.
  • Develop strong relationships with the supply chain and clients.
  • Assist project teams post-tender to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Electrical Estimator.
  • Electrical or Instrumentation degree / trade qualified is essential
  • Strong Electrical Instrumentation and Special Systems knowledge and experience is essential
  • Background in the Process Power Generation Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas industries is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of contract terms and negotiation.
  • Must have strong organisational skills
  • A proven track record
