ACRT is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our Consulting Utility Forester- TRAQ position is ideal for entry level and seasoned professionals with an educational background in forestry horticulture arboriculture environmental studies conservation or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work.


Our Foresters perform identification inspection and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan direct and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; Reduce the risk of wildfires through fire mitigation; Perform tree risk assessments; Serve as a liaison between clients tree crews and client customers. This position specifically will be contracting for a new construction vegetation planner in the Denver metro area.

This is a seasonal position from July to October.

ColoradoSalaryRange Disclaimer:

This position has asalaryrange of $29.50 to $35 an hour plus per diem and hotel coverage. Actual salaries will vary within the range based on various factors including but not limited to location experience expected quality and quantity of work performance operational needs and other considerations permitted by addition ACRT provides a variety of benefits to employees including but not limited to medical dental and vision insurance coverage a retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid paid time off (PTO).


Minimum Requirements:

  • ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) required.
  • 2 or 4 year year degree in forestry horticulture environmental science or closely related field OR in lieu of a degree 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or other related field (Ex. general Right-of-Way management Integrated Vegetation Management nursery work or timber cutting etc.) High school diploma/GED requirement can be waived with 5 years UVM experience.
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
  • Candidate must be self-motivated organized production oriented
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in an independent environment and managing a geographical area for all vegetation related activities
  • Candidate must be able to work with stakeholders utility customers and line clearance vendors and have excellent interpersonal skill
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required
  • Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (available nights and weekends as needed)
  • Valid drivers license required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous Vegetation management experience
  • Previous experience in fire mitigation
  • Experience with tree risk assessments
