Job Description
Our Poitrel Mine has an opportunity for a Mining Engineer to join their high performing team. Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent you will play an integral role in the operations short to medium term success. The role is accountable for development communication mine design and scheduling activities. The role will work closely with site operations and technical teams.
In this role you will:
- Develop dig plans dozer plans dump plans and mud maps.
- Develop and communicate weekly integrated plan including truck haulage and ancillary plans.
- Engagement with production coordinator to ensure the designs are optimised and executable in a timely manner.
- Identify and mitigate plan risks minimising production disruption
- Ensure short term design alignment to mid term strategy
Qualifications :
What we would love to see in you to make this a success
- Formal Mining Engineering qualifications (or Civil Engineering considered)
- Experience working in large open pit mining operations (Minimum 3 years)
- Understanding of value drivers and how these apply to planning decisions
- Impeccable work ethic and commitment to Stanmore values and safety (non negotiable)
- A distinct drive to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead from the front
