Job Description
Personal care assistant (Care Work)
15 hours per week (Suits flexible candidate)
Hours based on:
Friday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Monday & Wednesday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Some additional hours may be available to cover running late!)
Rate: 12.50 per hour
Job Purpose:
- To assist me a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy with day-to-day activities enabling me to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that aligns with my chosen lifestyle.
- I am a qualified fitness instructor so this role is ideal (but not essential) for anyone interested in gym sports healthy eating and diet.
My interests include football F1 console gaming and I enjoy playing all kinds of games and watching movies. I also love nature including visiting zoos and nature parks.
Work Duties May Include:
Helping with:
Personal care and support with going to the toilet
Supporting with:
Accessing social activities
Going to the gym
Socialising with friends
Going for lunch and getting out and about in the community
Mobility ensuring my safety
Bus travel
Other Requirements:
Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
Assisting with management of my health risks
Establishing and maintaining effective communication
Maintaining confidentiality
Location & Additional Information:
Work will be within my home in Henbury and the local area
5.6 weeks of annual leave per year
