Job Description
The following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the2025-26school year:
Goshen High School
Part-time Lunch Custodian (36 week)
3 Days a Week Up to 10 Hours a Week
Position Summary:
Goshen High School is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our custodial team as a Part-Time Cafeteria Custodian. This position focuses on maintaining a clean safe and welcoming cafeteria during lunch hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize tables chairs and high-traffic surfaces between lunch periods
- Sweep mop and spot-clean floors as needed
- Remove trash and replace liners
- Assist with the setup or rearrangement of cafeteria furniture as needed
- Respond quickly to spills or accidents to ensure student safety
- Work cooperatively with cafeteria and custodial staff to support a smooth lunch operation
- Follow all district safety and sanitation protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years experience in maintenance/custodial work or a related field preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds
- Ability to interact with staff students and community in professional and courteous manner
HOURS:School year: 36 weeks;108 days per yearplus additional training days as needed;10hours per week;daily hours (10:30 am to 1:00 pm)
SALARY:$17.55-$17.75 rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. (Schedule# 35-2)
