Job Description
Summary: The Integrated Science Program seeks an Adjunct faculty member to teach one sectionScience 225 Integrated Earth and Life Science for teachers. Individuals from all backgrounds including from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must be able to effectively engage with students colleagues and community members with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences
Required Qualifications and Education:
- Experience teaching Earth and/or Life Science
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills such as the ability to interact with others with respect and empathy.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Experience working with preservice teachers
- Experience teaching Earth and Life science in an integrated way
Responsibilities: Teach one section of SCI 225 Fall 2025 (3 credits). Curriculum is established by department. Duties include setting up and cleaning up experiments and teaching aids for your section of class. Hold a minimum of one office hour per week and be reasonably available to meet with students.
Salary/Benefits: Starting salary is $1000 per credit hour and depends on educational degree and number of years taught at GVSU. Adjunct Faculty are not eligible for health benefits (medical dental vision) short-term and long-term disability retirement benefits or tuition waivers.
