The DNERR has two main components the Blackbird Creek Reserve in Townsend and the St. Jones Reserve in Dover. These sites include both brackish and freshwater estuaries and represent the diverse estuarine ecosystems found throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Summary Statement
Community Engagement Specialist: $17.00 - responsible for community engagement volunteer coordination and communications. Duties include community outreach and events developing print materials social media content etc. and volunteer program is performed under various weather conditions. Additional work on weekends evenings and holidays may be scheduled.
Essential Functions

May assist with graphic design of printed brochures and program flyers.
Assist in the development and posting of materials to the Reserve social media sites.
May supervise and manage volunteers.
Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability and good communication skills.
Maintain a positive attitude and have fun.
Job Requirements

Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:Community Engagement Specialist
be at least 18 years of age.
years experience in communications public relations marketing customer service or related fields.
years experience in supervising groups staff or volunteers.
months experience in narrative report writing.
of public speaking or interpretation.
of a valid drivers license (not suspended revoked or cancelled or disqualified from driving).
