Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW
Working to protect the states environment and heritage.
- Temporary opportunity to 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension
- Full-time role - 35 hours per week
- Lidcombe office location - hybrid working supported
- Salary ranges from $139823.00 to $154095.00 super leave loading
Youll work closely with internal teams and external partners including the NSW EPA other government agencies and jurisdictions and external expert advicers to ensure the program delivers high-quality actionable data and insights that inform climate policy reporting and decision-making.
About You
You are a highly skilled and collaborative science leader with deep expertise in GHG monitoring measurement or modelling. You bring proven experience managing complex scientific programs and leading multi-disciplinary teams toward shared goals. Youre comfortable navigating cross-agency relationships synthesising technical input and driving outcomes aligned with state-wide climate priorities. With a strategic mindset strong communication skills and a commitment to scientific excellence youre ready to lead a program that underpins NSWs climate action.
Key skills and demonstrated experience includes:
- Demonstrated leadership of technical or science-based programs
- Strong knowledge of GHG emissions monitoring measurement modelling and reporting methods
- Experience working in or with government and cross-sector stakeholders
- Skilled in project delivery team coordination and science communication
Essential Requirements As detailed in the Role Description
- Relevant science degree qualification
- Expertise and experience in greenhouse gas emissions monitoring measurement modelling and mitigation
