As we grow we are seeking a Consultant for a remote work opportunity. This position would be aligned with our office located in Chicago and would support part-time working arrangements.
This opportunity is a telecommuting position.

Job Summary:
The Web Solutions Developer is a mid- to senior-level role responsible for designing developing maintaining and deploying web-based applications delivered as software-as-a-service (SaaS). These applications support facility planning maintenance decision-making and alternative evaluation by integrating maps data analytics and rule-based logic. The developer is responsible for keeping the application and its databases operational supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) debugging production issues and fielding technical problems and user complaints. This role combines front-end and back-end development expertise with a strong understanding of data modeling user experience design and operational support.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
The Web Solutions Developer is responsible for designing developing and maintaining responsive web applications using frameworks. This role ensures the reliability and performance of production systems through debugging performance tuning and feature enhancements. Responsibilities include integrating web-based GIS frameworks for spatial data visualization implementing rule-based logic to support decision-making workflows managing and maintaining application databases and ensuring traceability and observability across the application stack through structured logging monitoring and alerting. The developer also maintains CI/CD pipelines to ensure the system remains operational during upgrades and changes manages user access and identity through secure application-level protocols and practices and embeds interactive graphs that support user workflows by visualizing rule-based calculations spatial data or user-driven addition the developer collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional digital solutions applies UX/UI principles to create intuitive and visually compelling interfaces and actively contributes to Agile development cycles to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Web Development or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining web applications with a focus on reliability performance and production systems.
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies including HTML CSS C# or JavaScript and C#.
- Experience integrating and working with spatial data in web applications.
- Familiarity with database design and maintenance for web applications.
- Ability to implement secure access controls and manage identity at the application level.
- Experience embedding interactive data visualizationssuch as charts graphs tables into web applications
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and experience designing user interfaces with tools like Figma Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of translating stakeholder needs into functional digital solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with full-stack development and RESTful APIs.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support system availability during upgrades.
- Experience with database administration including schema design and integration with web applications.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
- Experience in UX/UI design front-end development or data visualization.
- Experience working in consulting or cross-functional environments.
- Portfolio of web-based tools and dashboards developed for public or private sector clients
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach bend climb and/or balance.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to travel as required.
