Ashevilles business units focus on delivering components utilizing precision manufacturing processes. Essential Responsibilities
In this role you will be accountable for planning and directing all aspects of the organizations manufacturing community relations and supply chain strategies objectives initiatives and
policies as well as play a key leadership role within the Rotating Parts & Compressor Airfoils organization.
- Lead operations team to deliver business results using FLIGHT DECK (Lean) Fundamentals and leadership behaviors.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and deliver year over year Safety Quality Delivery & Cost (SQDC) improvements in a recognized a lean management system in a manufacturing environment
- Meet plant safety and quality goals
- Establish all production schedules and meet customers delivery expectations
- Monitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely quality & compliant manner
- Establish and direct plant policies and procedures
- Have a strong focus on employee relations
- Foster well-trained and motivated staff
- Select train and develop plant supervisory and administrative staff
- Provide leadership for executing New Product Introductions (NPIs) with a strong network with engineering design
- Ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments
- Develop & create training plans to maximize workforce capability
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Schedule and conduct plant meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees
- Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity customer service quality inventory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in manufacturing business or engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience with proven leadership in manufacturing or supply chain roles

Desired Characteristics
- Masters degree in business manufacturing or engineering from an accredited university
- Experience leading a facility through a growth phase in production.

- OMLP graduate or similar program inside or outside GE desired
- Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control variable cost productivity and fulfillment metrics quality systems cost systems and fulfillment metrics and procedures
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities in lean principles and kaizen mindset. Demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others through transformational change.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex global unique and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Demonstrated ability able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization including senior leadership
- Clear strategic and critical thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
