RN, Home Infusion Field Nurse

The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate evidence-based and efficient care to individuals families communities and patient populations. The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient setting including but not limited to the administration of antibiotics immunologics TPN chemotherapy and supportive care. The RN will be required to travel to the patients home and provide infusion therapy for patients. The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSUs highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday and is expected to be part of the On-Call rotation.

• Previous Experience in ambulatory or infusion.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients.
• Current unencumbered Oregon RN and WA licenses (WA within 30 days of hire).
• Certification in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver license / proof of insurance.
• BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.
• ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
• Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
• Current unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
• Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email navigate information technology associated with the position and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.

Length of Orientation Experienced Nurse

• External candidates: OHSU & Nursing New Employee Orientation (NEO) for about a week.
