Job Description
Are you interested in becoming a key part of a newly created technologically advanced innovative start-up respite program in coastal North Carolina Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health challenges At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) were looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Providers to join our team in Burgaw North Carolina at a newly constructed adolescent respite facility. As a key member of our caring and collaborative community youll help individuals with complex needs and disabilities along with mental health challenges to thrive by supporting their independence and growth every day in every way.
What Youll Do
As a Direct Service Provider youll work directly with individuals in residential and community-based settings to help them live fuller more independent lives. Under the guidance of a Qualified Professional (QP) youll support each persons individualized goals by assisting with daily activities community integration and skill-building always within the framework of person-centered and informed choice philosophies.

Being part of our team means we value your and encourage your personal growth and development. Youll earn a competitive starting rate of $ 20.00. This Full-time position is based on-site and follows a Tuesday to Saturday schedule with 12-hour shifts during the summer. Hours TBD after summer time.

What Were Looking For
To thrive in this role you should be a reliable compassionate team player whos passionate about supporting others and creating inclusive communities.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Valid unrestricted North Carolina drivers license with a clean driving record
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Flexibility to wear multiple hats
- A great sense of humor!
