Position Summary
The McCauley lab uses human organoids and mouse models to investigate gastrointestinal physiology and function. We have a particular interest in disease modeling using pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids and in understanding how enteroendocrine cells regulate intestinal functions during health and in disease. We have an open position for a postdoctoral researcher to lead current projects supported by preliminary data.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Experience in cell culture techniques and/or mouse models. Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques including Western blot quantitative PCR and confocal microscopy.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
The preferred candidate has experience in one or more of the following areas: gastrointestinal physiology organoid culture mouse models of disease and/or omics analysis. The candidate should have a minimum of one first-author publication produced during the PhD. Preference will be given to candidates who include a 1 page research statement including goals for postdoctoral training and outlining how the candidate envisions their expertise contributing to the McCauley lab.
