MVP Academy located one mile from the main Monty Tech campus is a satellite program that provides workforce training in House Carpentry and Electrical to juniors and seniors who are enrolled in Fitchburg HS Gardner HS and Narragansett Regional RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide assistance to participating Grade 11 and 12 students from Fitchburg Gardner and Narragansett Regional Schools who have been identified with students individually and in small groups within the vocational setting to help master assignments reinforce concepts and develop skills presented by instructors. Collaborate with vocational teachers to define specific responsibilities during instructional with the MVP Program Manager to allow for seamless transitions during the school day and promote open communication with students families and our sending the use of special modifications or accommodations for students with disabilities within their vocational and assist with the preparation of lesson materials tools equipment and the vocational instructors with implementing systems and modifying materials that will facilitate equal access for planned instruction and/or students identified with special needs as needed with assistive technology and any assistance accessing the instruction and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and data related to individual student goals within their IEP and interfaces with the Program Manager and the sending districts liaison to monitor at all times in a professional pleasant manner of respect for the student with disabilities and in working with the program instructors. Monitor students for limited periods of time in the absence of the vocational instructor. Enforce administration policies and rules governing confidentiality of information concerning students and other tasks or duties assigned by the Director of Student Support Services. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position may require long periods of standing and sitting. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights as are found in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the OF EMPLOYMENT:The work year is 183 days. This includes the day before the opening day of school Tour or PD Day and the 180 school days. Compensation will be established by the Superintendent-Director in accordance with the applicable salary schedule. Fringe benefits are in accordance with District policy. EVALUATION:Annually
