About the Role

The Director Compensation Consulting and Deployment is a key member of the Total Rewards Leadership Team responsible for leading all client-facing compensation consulting and program deployment. This role serves as the primary interface between the business HR and Total Rewards for all compensation-related matters specific to assigned client groups. This leader will ensure compensation programs are aligned with business strategies competitive in the market and effectively deployed within client organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compensation-related matters
  • Lead a team of compensation professionals delivering strategic consulting support to HR Business Partners and business leaders for assigned client groups
  • Create compensation strategies tailored to the needs of client groups including (but not limited to) bespoke incentive plans retention strategies and market adjustments M&A bridges
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on complex compensation matters such as technical offers reorganizations etc
  • Ensure consistent and effective deployment of compensation programs aligned with GMs Total Rewards philosophy
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes providing feedback to enterprise design team to ensure practices and programs competitive and compliant
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on compensation strategy analytics and governance for client-specific needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Finance or related field preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in compensation including leadership of client-facing teams
  • Deep knowledge of compensation principles practices and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across a complex matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with compensation modeling and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Public company experience required.
  • Experience in global compensation practices and program deployment preferred.
