Educational Diagnostician / 10 Month (Full Time)
The Educational Diagnostician plays a critical role in the special education evaluation process by assessing and identifying the educational and developmental needs of students referred for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The diagnostician provides formal evaluations interprets data and collaborates with educators parents and support staff to develop effective educational plans for students with disabilities.
Bachelors Degree in Special Education Educational Assessment Psychology or related field required. Valid teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education or School Psychologist/Educational Diagnostician preferred. Three (3) years of teaching or diagnostic experience in a K12 setting. Knowledge of IDEA Section 504 and state-specific special education regulations. Experience administering a variety of standardized academic and cognitive assessments. Familiarity with TNPulse software for the management of special education documents have strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements. Thefulltimeposition will work40 hours per week and DOES include benefits.
