Location: Wandsworth South West London
Contract: Full-Time Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Hours: 08:3015:45 Monday to Friday
Pay: 23500 per annum (Pro Rata) Inner London
Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible

A vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Wandsworth is searching for a Science Intervention Assistant to work closely with pupils and staff within the Science department. This Science Intervention Assistant role is perfect for a graduate with a strong science background looking to gain school-based experience ahead of a teaching career.
As a Science Intervention Assistant youll support students across Biology Chemistry and Physics helping them understand key concepts improve their grades and prepare for practical assessments. Youll also get involved in setting up experiments and delivering engaging revision support.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group science interventions
- Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils in lessons and revision sessions
- Assisting with science practicals and preparing lab materials
- Working closely with teachers to plan and adapt support
- Encouraging independent study and scientific curiosity
Were looking for:
- A degree in a science-related subject (2:1 or above)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
